Officially called 'Liner, Wet Weather, Poncho (All Purpose Liner)' but affectionately known as a 'Woobie' this is a much loved piece of kit. Made from nylon and polyester, they are compact, lightweight and most importantly keep you warm - even when wet. These ones we have separated from the main pack for various defects - mainly fading of the camo pattern to the point its near disappeared and repairs.
This is the more 'advanced' version with a zip that runs around 2 sides so you can use it as sleeping bag. Considered by troops to be one of their most versatile pieces of equipment, the poncho liner can also be used as a pillow, shelter, blanket, camo hide, jacket liner, cushion or mattress. The eight ties - one each corner and side - allow you to attach it to a poncho, or anything else that you can dream up.
