Description
The US Marine Corps came up with its own load bearing equipment known as FILBE (Family of Improved Load Bearing Equipment). FILBE packs are designed to be fully compatible within its own family tree and integrate with current USMC armour carriers. But don't let that fool you into thinking these are rigid or uncomfortable - they're very comfortable worn alone. With 35 litres of carrying capacity these packs are a perfect size for day trip hiking, study or everyday carry.
The pack is straight forward with one main compartment and a large front pouch. Inside the main compartment is a internal mesh pocket with zip closure and a hydration pouch sleeve. The hydration sleeve has a adjustable strap for retention and you can feed the hose through two holes that flank the packs carry handle (covered by hook & loop tabs). The front pouch is a good size to fit a decent jumper or MREs in and also has a internal mesh pocket to store any valuables. Each of these main compartments benefits from dual zippers with large glove friendly pull loops. The shoulder straps aren't too bulky yet still have a suitable amount of padding to provide good comfort. To aid active movement/heavy loads are an adjustable chest and waist straps each with a quick release buckle. Last but not least, the pack is covered in MOLLE tabs so you can attach any PALS system pouches to add to its functionality.
These packs have been through all kinds of hell with the Marine Corps but are still fully functional - a true testament to their quality build. Whether you need a pack to go through its paces for your next hunting, hiking or airsoft trip, these are as tough as they come!
