The tricolor flag of Palestine consists of three horizontal stripes of equal size—black, white, and green from top to bottom—accentuated by a red triangle extending from the hoist side. It draws its inspiration from the Pan-Arab colors and serves as a symbol for both the State of Palestine and its people. The Palestinian Liberation Organization initially adopted this flag on May 28, 1964. Flag Day, commemorating its adoption, is celebrated on September 30.

The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
