Description
Guinea adopted their flag in 1958 upon achieving independence from France. Hence their design still using the tricolour format but instead using pan-African colours. The red represents the bloodshed of the slavery wars, the yellow symbolizes the sun and the wealth of the country. The green represents the country's lush vegetation.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
