When you need to get these on in a hurry, they have a roomy cut to fit your underlayers and long leg zips to get over boots with less fuss. Press dome studs close flaps so you can still utilise your underlayer's pocket facilities. Toggle ended draw cords to the waist and hook & loop tabs to the ankles keep the pants snug and water out. All zips, including the fly, have long ribbon attachments so you can grasp them easier out in monsoon weather. How thoughtful, US Army surplus.
