Description
Lesotho adopted its current flag in 2006 on its 40th anniversary of gaining independence from the United Kingdom. The symbol in the centre is a black silhouette of a traditional 'mokorotlo' hat. The blue strip represents the sky or rain. Green represents prosperity and the white represents peace.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
