Description

*Note* Most of these trousers have either internal or external knee reinforcement and some, none at all. Due to stock size and differing ages we cannot guarantee they will have these

Near the end of World War 2 Germany designed a camouflage pattern called 'Leibermuster.' The Swiss based their Tarnanzug 57 (TAZ 57 also known as Alpenflage) pattern on this. During the 1950's Switzerland decided that it didn't want to have a web-set anymore and the uniform must be able to carry everything necessary for war. The Jacket would take up most of the load, but these trousers still can carry much more than other contemporaries.

These trousers are all different ages so each one is somewhat unique. Most of these have either an internal or external reinforcement layer of vinyl. This runs up from the knee to thigh area to help protect the knees and keep your legs mostly dry. The trousers feature two large cargo pockets which are snap domed. Inside these have 3 magazine compartments (fits up to 2 mags in each slot) and a general storage area. To cope with the possibility of carrying that much weight around, the trousers have heavy duty suspenders. These will help distribute the weight greatly. Although optional, a belt up to 45mm wide can be worn with the waist belt loops. The Swiss were also fond of cycling so the trousers have snap dome strap adjustment all over to help tighten their profile to avoid catching. Just like any pair of pants they have two waist pockets but also just behind them is a zipped slit - these are here so you can access any under garment pockets.

The Swiss had some interesting ideas when they came up with this one and they served for many decades. If your a hunter, airsofter or paintballer looking to carry a large amount into the field on your person, then these might just be for you.

Incredibly comfortable

So i bought these mostly to do some dumb costuming/the occassional milsim

Despite clearly being priorly well loved, they're still in tip top condition, very comfortable, lots of pockets and easy to use clasps. I genuinely can't recommend higher.

Comfortable and cheap!

An absolute bargain for the price here, All but one of the buttons were in mint condition (for a 20+ year old piece of surplus this is extremely impressive.) perfect for trudging on a hike or camping, they'll definitely keep you warm for a night under the stars!
