Description
Poor Swiss boot. We have a few Grade 2 pairs where the main (and most often only) problem is delamination from the sole to leather, around the zone where your toes bend. In the 4th picture the problem is exaggerated by prying the layers open, to show the kind of damage better. Rarer, some boots have a little degradation to the outer soles (like the last picture). Perhaps a cobbler can help these out, or at least anyone handy with a bit of shoe-goo can prolong the life of these fantastic boots.
Dated around the 90's, these may be an older pair of boots, but they still have a long, long life ahead of them. Apart from these pair's delamination problems, these boots are fantastically sturdy and offer good overall protection without sacrificing comfort.
