Description
The USA got things off to a great start ahead of their contemporaries at the time by adopting the M1911 during the First World War. Heading into the Second World War, the US Army made these holsters to carry them into battle. Although a very basic looking design, it was a solid performer when needing to draw in a hurry and could be mounted wherever the user needed it on their belt, securely. Commonly the holster was mounted to a M1936 pistol belt by using the metal hooks through the eyelets but it can also be mounted onto any type of belt surface with loops at the rear. Another neat feature is the leg strap - tie this around your thigh to keep the holster firmly in place.
An essential bit of kit for anyone doing a WW2 US impression whether it be for reenactments, airsoft players or period film productions.
