The M1 carbine was kind of a first for weapon classes - a weapon to equip primarily rear echelon troops that was not a full sized cartridge, yet better than a pistol. Carbines were pretty well liked, the main reason because of its lightweight design. What helped this portable reputation was these slings. Weighing under 80 grams you will hardly notice the weight of a M1 over your shoulder. These will attach straight onto a paratrooper version carbine but please note for the regular wood stock version you will need a oiler to fasten one of these on.
