Description
Genuine East German Navy (Volksmarine) issue ushanka. The war was cold and so was the winter sea air. Sailors would wear these warm ushankas to protect their head, ears, and chin from the cold. The faux fur (or fish fur) ear flaps can be buttoned under the chin or tied back, ski-style.
The genuine East German insignia makes this a nice piece for a collector. Or wear it in the colder months to stay warm.
