Grade 2 Tropenpants! These desert dwellers may have missing components (like buttons or unhappy zips), small holes or very worn fabric - see the last image for an example of many faults all together. A good piece to fix up or repurpose if you were needing some DIY or custom gear!
The German Army's choice of camouflage in arid/desert regions is the 3 colour Tropentarn pattern. The official name is drei Farben Tarndruck der Bundeswehr (three color camouflage of the Bundeswehr). Based on the established Flecktarn pattern, the Tropentarn is another popular camouflage pattern from the German army. These Tropentarn pattern trousers have a high cotton content, making them extra comfortable.
