Description
The 'doughboys' had to be kept hydrated going into World War 1 so the US Army came up with the M1910 web system including these canteen covers. In essence the M1910 system persisted straight through World War 2 as well, just with extra additions/slight changes. A pair of basic snap studs will secure your canteen steadily in place while a metal belt loop at the rear will attach this to your M36 web belt. A recycled 'felt' inner layer will also keep your metal canteen cooler in hot weather.
If you have a M1910 canteen then its a no brainer that you need the appropriate cover as well! A great pouch for any WW2 reenactors, airsoft players or period film productions.
