Description
Known as the 'utility cover' or 'utility cap' this design was first introduced in World War 2. It came to be associated with the marine raiders through their widespread use of it in combat. Current marines wear the 8 pointed cover creased and peaked to give a solid and sharp appearance. They also wear it very high on the head and peaked far forward, although you can wear it like a standard cap as well.
The cap has a stiff but mold-able peak complete with 8 pointed cover. On the middle of the forehead is an embroidered USMC logo featuring the eagle, globe and anchor. Complete with a MARPAT woodland pattern, these can be a practical cap for out in the field. Hunters, airsofters/paintballers can certainly make use of these and have a distinct style. These are also a fantastic bit of authentic surplus for any USMC collectors.
