Description
Venezuela adopted their current flag in 2006 with similar designs dating back to 1811 during the Venezuelan War of Independence. Initially the flag had 7 stars to represent the 7 signatories of the Venezuelan declaration of independence. But an eighth star was added later on to represent a newly freed province. This flag features the Venezuelan coat of arms in the upper left corner.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
