Description
Vanuatu adopted their flag in 1980 after achieving independence from the United Kingdom. The green represents the lush islands, the red representing the blood of men, and the black representing the ni-Vanuatu people. The yellow shape represents the light of the christian gospel going through the pattern of the islands of the Pacific Ocean.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
