Can't fault it at all!

One of the better purchases I've made. Clear use on the product but no frays, no holes, no loose threads even! I've not had the pleasure of using it on a cold day.. But wearing it with the liner I know full well I'll be snug down to sub-zero! Without the liner it's a good everyday jacket, can wear over a tee for warmer days and wear over something a little substantial for lightly cool days. Gorgeous jacket, perfectly fit with an actually decent sized hood. No BS, practically built, quality 2nd to none. 13/10 LOVE IT! Shot for the quick delivery A&O; made my day this product did.

Genuinely The Best Parka I've Got

This parka is the best I own, it's perfect for going out in sun, rain, snow or anything in-between. The Inside is a soft liner that goes all the way down to the arms and into the hood which can mean the difference between comfort and cold. The liner can also be taken out for a much lighter parka for the warmer months or to be replaced with an undershirt or hoodie, both of which work well and look great! Mine came with a few small patch repairs on the inside of the parka, underneath the liner but the outside looks pristine and clean. Surprisingly cheap for the quality, keeps me warm and dry while looking damn cool, not much more I can ask for.

Best Parka money can buy at a bargain price!

Have wanted one for so long, and I bought mine through Army and Outdoors a few months back now, but thought I'd wait after using it a while before writing a review. Honestly, you can spend many hundreds more on popular label products sold in outdoor stores but none of them will ever come close to the quality and functionality of an item made for the armed forces. Stuff just doesn't get tougher and longer lasting than this! This parka may not be waterproof, but what really is? When it comes to the very coldest, frosty NZ Winter mornings, this keeps me toasty warm. The pockets are perfectly placed for hands, and are HUGE for carrying everything you could want on your person while out walking, hunting, fishing. There are multiple adjustments for optimal fit and comfort. The parka has a first class "Opti" brand Zipper, who back in the day outclassed the now popular YKK brand. They sure as heck don't make anything this good anymore. Honestly for top quality, proven and superior design, you shouldn't go past Army surplus clothing, especially these Parka's. I knew so many people in the 80's and 90's with these when they were a street style trend, and many of those people still have them to this day...Whether they still wear them is a point of contention, but nonetheless, they still have decades of use left in them! Buy one...or two! Also Army and Outdoors service is exceptional!

Awesome Retro Vintage

Always wanted one of these West German OD parkas. Used to see quite a few of them around when I was at university in the early 90s, never got around to buying my own one. Been weighing up between a new reproduction or the authentic version. Glad I chose the real deal. Parka is in great used condition with a new zip and internal waist ribbon. Couple of authentic repairs in in places give it a real vintage look. Just needs a freshen up in the wash as it has that distinctive army Q-store aroma. Good work A&O sourcing these original parkas. Cheers

Best ever

I have had my parker for more than 20 years and it is still my only winter coat, the zipper is broken and the sleeve cuffs have disintegrated but the rest of it is still in great condition. Would love to have it repaired or replaced.
